This was my test project for the Blender 3D modeling program, and it also served as a platform for experimenting with car paint shaders.
You can see I had some problems with smoothing on some of the surfaces. Its particularly noticeable on the rear edge of the tail fins. Other than that, the modeling went pretty well. The paint shader is adapted from one on ATI's web site. I reduced the metal flake content somwhat aiming for more of a pearl finish. The effect is right on in the way it picks up the light and changes color as the viewing angle moves around the car.
