s1957 DeSoto
I found pictures of the 57 while researching for the 49 DeSoto project. I really like the looks, especially with the optional quad headlights. This model represents a 1957 Desoto Fireflite Sportsman in Mardarin Rust with a Frost White sweep.

Technical Details
I am using XSI Mod Tool again for this project. I spent some time working up a technique to improve the look of the body panel seams. Here I am using a fairly simple V groove, but I bump mapped it to look like a rolled sheet metal edge. The gap between the panels is created by my shader code. It drops the color to black as the surface normals on the bump map roll around into the down direction. So I end up with the appearance of a rolled sheet metal edge, but with only using the polygon geometry of a v-groove.
